Dear Brothers Tanaka Yasuhiro & Yamamoto Hiroyuki,
ILWU Local 21 in Longview, WA wants to thank your Union for your support of us in our struggle.
As you know, Itochu has partnered up with Bunge and Korean STX Pan Ocean in what is an attempt to bust our Union.
Our struggles are one in the same. Working people fighting for a decent wage, and benefits for our family. The deregulation, privatization, and the outsourcing of our jobs is only a benefit to corporations and the rich. As working people, we together have had enough.
The Capitalist in the United States have deregulated the banking system. Have outsourced our manufacturing base in our country, and have watched our jobs go with it. The laws and politicians are contracted by these same corporations and rich people.
Japan Railway needs to understand that the ILWU backs Doro-Chiba, and will stand beside you in your fight against them. The outsourcing of repair work is your work! This isn't right and needs to stop.
We will fight together, side by side. We are all together. The working class in this world are one.
Please let us know what we can do to help your cause. Thank you.
In Solidarity,
Dan Coffman, President

President, TANAKA Yasuhiro & General Treasurer, YAMAMOTO Hiroyuki,
It would be of great honor that I come to Japan to attend your 2 big rallies in November.
Our Union, ILWU Local 21 in Longview, WA, we greatly appreciates your support in our battle. Let it be known that we support you in yours as well.
On October 14, we will be with you in spirit. Itochu must understand that they are being watched all throughout the world. The same union solidarity we have you'll have also. The working people of the world will not take the Itochu corporate greed that infects this world we live in.
Let it be known that the two rallies coming in November that the ILWU will be standing with the International Labor Solidarity Committee of Doro-Chioba. Shoulder to shoulder we will send a clear message that we are in this together and know who the enemy is.
I will be there to attend both rallies November 5th and 6th. I will represent the ILWU. Thank you so much.
